      • (151) Council approval is required to fund needed repairs to the cooling system in the LEMC server room from reserves.
      • (103) DRF – EH Horne School Preservation Society Project Change submitted. Council is asked to consider a funding change based on the revised application.
      • (97) Letter from Jeff Mercer, Executive Director and Chief Librarian, Colchester-East Hants Public Library seeking sponsorship funding to support the 75th Anniversary Gala fundraiser to purchase a new library vehicle. The event will be held on October 18th at the Truro Library.
      • (86) Letter from the East Hants Farmers’ Market Co-operative seeking approval to access communal spaces in the East Hants Sportsplex at no cost for three fall/winter market pop-up events with a goal of establishing a regular market in 2026. The group will also be seeking a Community Partnership Fund grant and an opportunity to present to Council in the future.
      • (58) Letter from Alan Shepherd and Mary-Anne Arsenault regarding high property taxes. Seeking a cap on the maximum tax amount any resident shall pay as well as a lesser percentage for those properties with their own well and septic.
      • (47) Request from Luke Guthro on behalf of the Enfield Vol. Fire Department asking to make a presentation to Committee/Council to have Council consider taking over the property of Enfield Vol. Fire Department for the purpose of obtaining grant funding to build a new fire station.
      • (36) Selection of Delegation – 2025 NSFM Fall Conference – November 4-7 at the Westin Hotel, Halifax. Details are available on the conference website provided to Councillors by email. The motion should recognize the NSFM Proposed Bylaw Changes and any Councillor who wants to go to the Conference or AGM is compensated according to policy.
      • (18) NSFM is proposing by-law changes to be considered at the AGM on November 6th during the NSFM Fall Conference. Council may wish to discuss the proposed changes to form an opinion for delegates to share. (Note: Any member may attend the AGM, at no cost, even if not a delegate at the conference).
