Disposal of Scrap Metals 2026Request for ProposalsVehiclesSynopsis: The Municipality of the District of East Hants (“East Hants”) collects and stores scrap metal generated within East Hants. Such metal has a nominal commercial value and each year the East Hants invites proposals from qualified parties to purchase the scrap metal and remove it from our site at the East Hants Waste Management Centre in Georgefield, NS. This year East Hants has approximately 225 metric tonne of ferrous and non-ferrous metals for sale, consisting of mostly steel. The successful proponent will be responsible for supplying all equipment, plant and labour necessary to remove the metal from the site, as well as being responsible for the scheduling and loading of trucks.Closes Sep 24, 2026 at 2:00:00 PM

Supply Arrangement, Traffic ControlRequest for QuotationServicesSynopsis: The Municipality of East Hants (“East Hants”), from time to time, requires traffic control with respect to work they are doing (the “Services”). The Services may be required to support work East Hants is doing themselves or work being completed by a third-party contractor on East Hants’ behalf. This is a time and materials contract. The successful Bidder will honour the Rates provided for the duration of the contract. These Services may be required at anytime, anywhere, in East Hants. Most of the requirements will be concentrated in the Corridor area (Enfield, Elmsdale, Lantz, Shubenacadie) where East Hants has water and wastewater infrastructure. East Hants requests that Vendors who provide traffic control services review the specifications and, if interested in providing the Services and qualified to provide them, submit a quotation for these Services. East Hants will only engage these Services as and when needed, at their sole discretion. Certain projects performed for East Hants will include traffic control as part of the scope of work that the third-party contractor is responsible for; this supply arrangement will not apply to those projects.Closes Oct 1, 2026 at 2:00:00 PM
