The wording related to when notification was made has been updated (page 3) removing the allegation that the Municipality failed to report, without delay. The municipality did in fact report the total residual chlorine concentration as required by section 19.1 of the Regulations.

The REN funding that East Hants has been receiving every year, through a contribution agreement with the Halifax Partnership and the Province, has been cut through the Provincial budget cuts. This funding accounted for $130,000 in the general fund. This funding will now be distributed to RENs through project based funding. Staff will be attending the information session to learn more about the program and how our Economic Development Strategy can be supported through this program funding.

RBC Donations – There is an opportunity to assist two East Hants non-profit organizations which requires Council approval to establish two donation funds and issue a grant for the same amount of funds raised. (East Hants Tide Fest Donation Fund and Enfield/Elmsdale Lions Den Playground Donation Fund).
