2013 Design Award Winners

East Hants is one of the fastest growing Municipalities in Nova Scotia. With that excitement, comes a constantly changing built environment. East Hants wants to celebrate those who have taken the extra care and effort to make East Hants a more beautiful place to live by investing in our built environment through the East Hants Design Awards.


Certificate of Excellence

Townsend Lynch Country Estates Limited for a subdivision design that included placing 249 acres of important wetland habitat in public ownership.

Convent Lane Townhouses Inc. for creating unique rental accommodations for residents of East Hants as well as being one of the first Energy Star buildings in Nova Scotia.

Harvey Architecture Limited for making a positive contribution to the built environment with their attractive and functional design of the expansion of the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre.
