The Municipality of East Hants will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding the following three items:
PLN25-007- Official Community Plan Amendment- Enfield
Application from Portucana Construction Services Limited to amend the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to redesignate and rezone PID 45379864 and PID 45329901 located on Lacy Anne Ave and White Road to the Medium Residential Density (MR) designation and to the Townhouse (R2-T) zone to enable townhouse developments.
PLN26-004: Official Community Plan Amendments- Enfield
Mapping amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to amend the designation and zone of a portion of property located on Horne Settlement Road. The amendments would result in the rezoning of 5.87 hectares of PID 45080801 from Rural Use (RU) zone and designation to the Established Residential Neighbourhood (R1) Zone and Established Residential Neighbourhood (ER) Designation. This is to allow for the development of a single unit dwelling residential subdivision.
PLN26-010- Subdivision Bylaw Amendment
Amendment to the Required Future Transportation Connections Map of the Subdivision Bylaw to add a required connection between Lacy Anne Ave and White Road, Enfield.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale. Any changes to the date will be posted on the Municipal website and social media. The purpose of the meeting is to outline the proposals and respond to residents’ questions and comments. A final decision to approve or refuse the applications will take place following a Public Hearing to be scheduled at a later date.
