Small Business Week 2022
The third week of October is Small Business Week, an annual celebration of entrepreneurship that the Business Development Bank of Canada has organized for over 43 years. Every year, close to 10,000 entrepreneurs gather to learn, network, and celebrate Canada’s dreamers and doers.
Economic recovery from the pandemic has brought new challenges for Canadian entrepreneurs. With inflation, worker shortages, and supply chain challenges being high on every entrepreneur’s list business owners are finding ways to succeed and grow, all while making their businesses more inclusive and sustainable, and driving the Canadian economy.

Solid Waste Resources
Waste Wizard App
The Municipality of East Hants has a mobile app to help residents and businesses with waste sorting, collection reminders, and service updates. The app is free to download to any mobile device!
Solid Waste Audit
A Solid Waste Audit assists businesses in targeting their internal staff’s training around solid waste to then communicate to the customers they service (example: quick service restaurants). Waste audits are conducted at the business location and at the East Hants Waste Management Centre as a method to measure compliance, find areas that require attention, or potentially save your business money.
