Notice of Public Hearing – April 22, 2026

The Municipality of East Hants will be holding a Public Hearing regarding the following items:

PLN25-010- Official Community Plan Amendment
Proposal to amend the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to reduce the minimum setback requirements for Intensive Livestock Operations in the Rural Use North (RU-2) Zone.

PLN25-009: Official Community Plan Amendments
Application by David Maddeaux to redesignate and rezone a portion of his property at 47 MacIntosh Road, Upper Nine Mile River from Agricultural Reserve (AR) to Rural Use (RU).

The Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale. It will also be livestreamed: easthants.ca/livestream.

At the Hearing, Council will consider presentations from persons regarding the proposals.
