Notice of Application & Public Information Meeting

The Municipality of East Hants has received the following application and is holding a Public Information Meeting:

PLN25-013- Amendments to the Official Community Plan

East Hants Municipality is considering amendments to the change the designation of the land to Medium Density Residential (MR) and change the zone to Townhouse (R2-T) which would enable new townhouse units to be constructed. The application relates to a portion of two properties on Dory Lane, Enfield. The land is located adjacent to the elementary school and the Magnolia Long Term Care Facility. Amendments to the Land Use Bylaw parking requirements for townhouse developments are also being considered.

The Public Information meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale. Any changes to the date will be posted on the municipal website and social media. The purpose of the meeting is to outline the proposals and respond to residents’ questions and comments. A final decision to approve or refuse the applications will take place following a public hearing to be scheduled at a later date.
