The Municipality of East Hants will be holding a Public Hearing regarding the following applications:
PLN24-015: Development Agreement Amendment – Lantz
Application from Clayton Developments Ltd. to amend their development agreement for Kiln Creek. The application includes a request for an additional 100 residential units, including more apartment units and townhomes. Also included is a request for a self-storage building and townhomes with 16ft frontages.
Official Community Plan Amendments – Accessory Dwelling Units
Amendments to the East Hants Land Use Bylaw to amend the minimum lot area requirements and the design requirements for Accessory Dwelling Units.
Official Community Plan Amendments – Stormwater Management
Amendments are proposed to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Subdivision Bylaw to require stormwater management plans for all tentative plans of subdivision including private and public roads in unserviced areas of East Hants.
The Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 beginning at 7:45 p.m. at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale. It will also be livestreamed: easthants.ca/livestream.
At the Hearing, Council will consider presentations from persons regarding the proposal.
