Mandatory Water Restrictions In Place

Mandatory water use restrictions for residents in Lantz, Elmsdale and Enfield are now in place. This does not include the community of Shubenacadie.

What does this mean?

• No lawn watering
• No at-home car washing
• No filling pools or hot tubs
• No pressure washing

The Bulk water station is open for household necessities only – not recreational use. The East Hants Aquatic Centre remains open and free potable water and showers are still available. Water hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekends.

We are still encouraging residents in all other East Hants communities and rural areas to conserve water wherever possible. Your cooperation helps protect our water supply for everyone.

Easy Water Conservation Tips

• Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
• Only run dishwashers and washing machines with full loads
• Take shorter showers
• Fix leaky faucets and toilets
