Water Utility Rate Review

East Hants has completed a review of our water utility rates. The review determined and set water rates for at least the next three years. This was last done in 2017, with the last rate increase occurring on April 1, 2019.

The new rates came into effect on April 1, 2026, after approval by the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board.

The Schedules of Rates for water and water service are approved, effective April 1, 2026, April 1, 2027, and April 1, 2028. The Schedule of Rules and Regulations is approved, effective April 1, 2026.
