TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of East Hants will hold a Public Hearing regarding the following matters:

Consideration of Disposal – 248 Highway 2, Enfield

Disposal of property situated at 248 Highway 2, Enfield, PID 45147741, known as the E.H. Horne School Property, to the E.H. Horne School Preservation Society for $1.00. The purpose of the sale is to dispose of property surplus to municipal needs. The 2023 assessed building value is $276,300 Commercial Taxable and $73,800 Commercial Exempt. PLN23-006: PID 45078748 & 51 Old Enfield Rd, Enfield

Request from E.L.T. Property Holdings Limited to redesignate their property to Medium Density Residential (MR) and rezone the same property to Multiple Unit Residential (R3) Zone, to enable the construction of three multiple-unit buildings with 24 dwelling units in each building. The land under consideration is identified as PID 45118221 (Civic 51) and PID 45078748, Old Enfield Road, Enfield.

PLN21-009: PID 45089802, Highway 2, Milford

Request from FH Development Group Inc. to redesignate and rezone their property to Walkable Comprehensive Development District (WCDD) Designation and Zone and to enter into a development agreement for a mixed-use neighborhood, including a mixture of low, medium and higher density residential and commercial development. Approximately 1,500 dwelling units are being proposed. The land under consideration is located on Highway 2, Milford, and is identified as PID 45089802.

The Public Hearing will take place at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Public Hearing will also be livestreamed on the municipal website at easthants.ca/livestream. In case of cancellation the meeting will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
