Notice of Approvals

Take Notice that the Council of the Municipality of East Hants approved the following proposals at their meeting on May 21, 2025.

PLN24-013: Development Agreement- East Noel

  • Application from Central Tire Ltd. for Transportation and Warehouse use at 5209 Highway 215, East Noel.

PLN24-012: Land Use Bylaw Amendments – Stacked Townhouses

  • Application from The Shaw Group Ltd. to amend the stacked townhouse definition and townhouse provisions of the Land Use Bylaw.

Land Use Bylaw Amendments – Non-Farm Dwellings

  • Proposal to amend the Land Use Bylaw to change the status of non-farm dwellings from legal non-conforming uses to lawfully existing uses within the Agricultural Reserve Zone.

Land Use Bylaw Amendments – Special Events

  • Proposal to amend the Land Use Bylaw to change the definition of small scale and large scale special events and to restrict the hours of operation.

Any aggrieved person, the Provincial Director of Planning or Council of an adjoining Municipality may, within 14 days of publication of this notice, appeal Council’s decision to the Nova Scotia Utility & Review Board in accordance with the Municipal Government Act. A copy of the development agreement may be inspected at: easthants.ca/planning-applications.
