Notice of Approvals – Bylaws

Take notice that the Council of the Municipality of East Hants gave approvals for the following bylaws:

Bylaw P-1200-1, an amendment to Bylaw P-1200

• This Bylaw regulates lot grading and drainage for properties located in Growth Management Areas.

Bylaw P-1000-2, an amendment to Bylaw P-1000

• This Bylaw regulates responsible dog ownership within East Hants. Proposed amendments reflect the change to lifetime tags, and to provide better clarity in regards to barking dog complaints.

Bylaw A-300 – Encroachment on Municipal Real Property Bylaw

• This Bylaw is in respect to encroachments on Municipal real property.

First readings were given to the proposed Bylaws at the Regular Meeting of Council held on February 25, 2026. Second and final readings of the Bylaws were done at the Regular Meeting of Council held March 25, 2026.
