Operations and Maintenance Coordinator (Chief Engineer) – East Hants Sportsplex
East Hants Sportsplex, Lantz, NS
In anticipation of an upcoming retirement in June 2027, we are accepting resumes for the role of Operations and Maintenance Coordinator (Chief Engineer) at the East Hants Sportsplex. Interviews are expected to occur in 2027.
Ice Technicians – 2026/27 Winter Season
East Hants Sportsplex
Previous experience working in an arena environment, operating a Zamboni, or working with an ice plant is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided. Casual, Part-time, and Full-time hours are available.
Café Servers – 2026/27 Winter Season

We are recruiting Café Servers to join the Roxies Café team at the East Hants Sportsplex for the fall/winter season. Café Servers provide friendly, exceptional customer service while preparing and serving food and beverages in a busy, events-focused sports facility.
Ticketed Operator – Sportsplex

Do you have your 2nd class refrigeration licence, are retired and/or looking for casual work? Do you enjoy being a central part of the local sporting community and delivering exceptional customer service? If so, the East Hants Sportsplex is the place for you!
We are recruiting for a Ticketed Operator to join our team. Our Operators are responsible for day-to-day maintenance at the East Hants Sportsplex, maintenance of the ice rink, and ensuring ice plant equipment is checked and maintained.
Group Fitness Instructor(s) – Casual Part-time

We are accepting applications for casual Group Fitness/Exercise Instructors to join our team. In collaboration with the Community Recreation Coordinator, the Fitness Instructor plans and facilitates calisthenics or bodyweight group fitness programming such as yoga, and other community recreational fitness programs in various locations throughout the Municipality.

East Hants Aquatic Centre
We are currently accepting applications for Swim Instructors to join the Aquatics team at the East Hants Aquatic Centre. Swim Instructors deliver safe, fun, and professional swimming lessons, develop lesson plans, maintain training records, provide participant feedback, and complete progress reports.
Welcome Desk Attendants – 2026/27 Winter Season
East Hants Sportsplex
We are recruiting Welcome Desk Attendants to join the East Hants Sportsplex team for the fall/winter season. Welcome Desk Attendants provide friendly, exceptional customer service by greeting patrons, answering inquiries in person and by phone, processing bookings and payments, and supporting general front-desk operations in a busy sports and events-focused facility. Candidates should have customer service experience or a willingness to learn, with point-of-sale experience considered an asset. Applicants must be available for flexible casual or part-time hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and meet required screening and certification requirements.
Cooks – 2026/27 Winter Season
Roxies Café at the East Hants Sportsplex
We are recruiting Cooks for the fall/winter season at Roxies Café at the East Hants Sportsplex. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, customer service, and working in a busy, events-focused community facility. Cooks will prepare food in a commercial kitchen and occasionally assist with front-of-house customer service. Flexible availability, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, is required. Experience and food handling certification are assets, with training available as needed. Casual and part-time positions are available at $20–$22/hour, depending on experience.
