Operator – Water and Wastewater Services

East Hants, NS

The Municipality of East Hants is seeking a full-time Operator to join its Water and Wastewater Services team. This hands-on position will focus primarily on the operation and maintenance of the municipal water distribution system, including excavations, leak detection, installations, and the repair and maintenance of fire hydrants, water meters, valves, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 education, strong math skills, and experience or knowledge in water distribution, construction, or a related field. The role involves outdoor physical work in all weather conditions, rotational on-call evenings and weekends, emergency response, and confined-space work. A valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract are required. Recreation Facilities Administrator – 12-month Term

East Hants Sportsplex – Lantz, NS

The East Hants Sportsplex is seeking a Recreation Facilities Administrator for a 12-month term to cover an upcoming maternity leave. Based at the Welcome Desk, this position serves as the first point of contact for Sportsplex users during daytime operations, providing friendly and exceptional reception and customer service. The role also supports the recreation and facilities team with a variety of administrative duties, including purchasing, payables, reporting, documentation, record-keeping, and point-of-sale activities.

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing recreation programs, activities, and events that promote health, wellness, and social connection throughout the community. Ticketed Operator – Sportsplex

East Hants Sportsplex, Lantz, NS

East Hants Sportsplex

We are recruiting Welcome Desk Attendants to join the East Hants Sportsplex team for the fall/winter season. Welcome Desk Attendants provide friendly, exceptional customer service by greeting patrons, answering inquiries in person and by phone, processing bookings and payments, and supporting general front-desk operations in a busy sports and events-focused facility. Candidates should have customer service experience or a willingness to learn, with point-of-sale experience considered an asset. Applicants must be available for flexible casual or part-time hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and meet required screening and certification requirements.

Cooks – 2026/27 Winter Season

Roxies Café at the East Hants Sportsplex

We are recruiting Cooks for the fall/winter season at Roxies Café at the East Hants Sportsplex. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, customer service, and working in a busy, events-focused community facility. Cooks will prepare food in a commercial kitchen and occasionally assist with front-of-house customer service. Flexible availability, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, is required. Experience and food handling certification are assets, with training available as needed. Casual and part-time positions are available at $20–$22/hour, depending on experience.
