When was the last time you visited the site of the world’s highest recorded tides? The Municipality of East Hants invites you to come explore all that Burntcoat Head Park has to offer this September 21!
FREE activities from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. include:
• Hot dog BBQ, snacks and refreshments from 12 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (or until supplies last)
• Ocean floor exploration and scavenger hunt
• Recreation games for kids and families
• Education and outreach with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) to learn more about Burntcoat’s species at risk, the Atlantic Mud-Piddock
• Hot dog BBQ, snacks and refreshments from 12 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (or until supplies last)

After exploring Burntcoat Head Park, continue your adventure along the shore on Highway 215:
- The Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre in South Maitland
- Beyond the Wharf Artisans (located at Dawson Dowell Park)
- Gallery 215 in Selma
- Lower Selma Museum
- Walton Lighthouse, the last original lighthouse on the Minas Basin
- and more! Ask our friendly Visitor Experience Staff in the lighthouse to plan the rest of your day.
Safe ocean floor access on September 21 is from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Low tide is 10:02 a.m. and high tide is 4:01 p.m.
