Project Engineer



Location: Elmsdale, NS

We are expanding our team with an additional Project Engineer to support engineering activities in our growing community. The Project Engineer participates in the review of subdivision and development applications, coordinates engineering studies, and oversees the completion of approved capital projects.

What you can offer:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in the public sector would be an asset.
  • You are a great multi-tasker, with experience managing projects and initiatives to completion, meeting your project requirements and deadlines.
  • You are a strong relationship builder and communicator, and can effectively build trust in order to collaborate with your team, consultants, vendors, and the public.
  • You have working knowledge of municipal engineering theory, principles, and practices, and are able to interpret and put into practice Provincial and Federal regulations, standards and practices as well as relevant sections of the Municipal Government Act, municipal policies, law and regulations applicable to the field of Municipal engineering.
  • You are comfortable with technology, and have strong skills in MS Office. If you have experience working with accounting software, that would be an asset.
  • You have a Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Annual salary: $84,047.00 — $105,059.00
