Cook/Bartender – Roxies Cafe at the East Hants Sportsplex

Our facility features two arena ice pads, three year-round artificial turf fields, Roxie’s Café, and three versatile multi-purpose rooms ready to host a wide range of activities. Join our dedicated team of experts in sports, recreation, customer service, hospitality, and facility operations, in an exciting community-focused environment.

We are recruiting for a Cook/Bartender to join our team on a casual/seasonal basis at Roxie’s Cafe.  Our Cook/Bartender prepares food in a commercial kitchen, serves alcohol, and can fill in on a part-time basis at the front-line serving food and beverages to patrons of the Café.

What you can offer:

• Past experience preparing food in a commercial kitchen and food and beverage service, or a willingness to learn.
• Food and beverage handling certificates, willingness to obtain required.
• Experience with point-of sale software would be an asset.
• Current WHMIS, CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness and ability to successfully complete (training will be provided as needed).
• Clean Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry check.
• You are available to work approximately 15-25 hours per week, around the operational requirements of a sports and events facility, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• 19+ years of age to meet licensing requirements of the café.

Hourly rate:                 $19-21/hour depending on experience.
