Aquatics Instructors

The East Hants Aquatic Centre, is an inclusive and fully accessible aquatics facility featuring lap pool, leisure pool, lazy river, hot tub, waterslide and climbing wall. This state-of-the-art facility provides East Hants and surrounding areas with a diverse variety of aquatic programming and other recreation-based activities.

Aquatics Instructors are responsible for instructing classes in a safe, fun, and professional manner, according to the standards of the Lifesaving Society of Canada and the East Hants Aquatic Centre. We are accepting resumes into a candidate pool for Aquatics Instructor positions on our Aquatics team.

Aquatic Instructors responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Completing long-term lesson plans
• Maintaining accurate training records
• Managing the process for regular feedback to students, including mid-term and final reports
• Championing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all staff and visitors

Aquatics Instructors must have the following certifications:

• Lifesaving Swim Instructor
• National Lifeguard or Bronze Cross and Intermediate Workplace First Aid with CPR-C
• Clear child abuse registry and vulnerable sector checks

Hourly Rate: $18.50/hour
