Community Exit Ramp Challenge
East Hants non-profit community groups can earn grant funding by cleaning litter from the 100-series highway exit ramps leading into East Hants.
Held each spring and fall, the program supports up to 12 groups per year.
The approved 2026 grant amount is $750 per group.

Spring Session: April 18 – June 14
Fall Session: September 19 – November 15

- 58 clean-ups completed

- $35,000 in grant funding provided
- 9,878 kg (9.88 tonnes / 21,777 lbs) of litter collected
