A new locally owned business is bringing wellness closer to home for residents. Botavita Market, located at 727 Highway 2, offers a carefully curated selection of health foods, supplements, specialty diet products, eco-friendly household items, and locally made artisan goods with over 95% being Canadian made.
A Local Vision for Wellness
Owner, Rebecca McGeehan, combines more than a decade of retail management experience with a lifelong passion for practical wellness. After living in the community for eight years, she recognized a need for accessible, everyday wellness options. Her goal with Botavita Market is simple: to make healthy living approachable, affordable, and easy to integrate into daily life. The name Botavita reflects the heart of the store’s philosophy; Bota meaning botanical and Vita meaning life, highlighting the role of plants, natural ingredients, and everyday nourishment in supporting health and healing.
Connecting with the Community
Botavita Market is more than a store, it is designed as a welcoming community space. Plans for future growth include expanding the refillery offerings, coffee service with seating, and after-hours educational events.
To celebrate its launch, the market is hosting a grand opening on March 27 and 28, inviting the community to explore the store, sample products, and learn more about its offerings. Local business owners are invited to attend and see how Botavita Market creates opportunities for collaboration and connection, helping entrepreneurs engage, exchange ideas, and grow together.

Owner Rebecca McGeehan says, “Botavita Market focuses on making healthier choices easier for the local community.”
