Aquatics Team Lead

We are currently accepting applications for Team Lead positions. Successful candidates will receive Team Lead training throughout the summer to be fully qualified for Fall 2026 programming.

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing swim lessons and recreational programming during our year-round evening and weekend programming.

Responsibilities: Ensuring classes are taught in a safe and professional manner by checking lesson plans and worksheets of instructors on a regular basis, as well as providing lifeguards and instructors with continuous evaluations and suggestions for ongoing improvement. A key component of the Team Lead position is supervising a team through the daily operation of the Aquatic Centre. These duties include opening/closing procedures, following and ensuring all operational checklists are completed with accuracy and delegating and managing the team.

Qualifications:
• Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Service (Pool option)
• Swim for Life Instructor, with 100 hours teaching experience preferred
• Intermediate First Aid with CPR “C”
• Lifesaving Instructor and examiner certification an asset
• Two years lifeguarding, or other relevant work experience in a customer service environment
• Demonstrated interest in personal growth and leadership
• A champion of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging with skills to foster a welcoming and accessible environment for staff and patrons

Hourly Rate: $20.75 p/hour
