Notice of Approval – Amendments to the Community Plan

The Council of the Municipality of East Hants has approved the following amendments to the Official Community Plan:

  • To reduce the minimum setback requirement for an intensive livestock operation use in the Rural Use North (RU-2) zone
  • To rezone and redesignate a portion of PID 45120375, 47 MacIntosh Road, Upper Nine Mile River from Argicultural Reserve (AR) to Rural Use (RU)

The amendments were given second reading and adopted by Municipal Council at a Public Hearing held on April 22, 2026. The effective date of these amendments is the date of publication of this notice. Copies of the amendments may be inspected at: easthants.ca/planning-applications.
