Casual Custodian

Our facility features two arena ice pads, three year-round artificial turf fields, a Café, and three versatile multi-purpose rooms ready to host a wide range of activities. Join our dedicated team of experts in sports, recreation, customer service, hospitality, and facility operations, in an exciting community-focused environment.

We are recruiting for a Casual Custodian to join our team. Custodians perform cleaning and minor maintenance functions at the East Hants Sportsplex.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Related experience in cleaning methods, solutions, equipment, and procedures used in the care of large buildings.
• Able and willing to operate custodial equipment such as automatic floor scrubbers.
• Ability and willingness to perform custodial work in child-oriented and vulnerable population environment.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work independently
• Current WHMIS, CPR/First Aid certification, Biohazard or ability to successfully complete.
• Clean Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in a customer focused environment

Hourly rate: $24.00/hour, approx. 15 hours/week.
