Wyatt Sanford Receives Keys to the Municipality

The Municipality is proud to present Wyatt Sanford with the Key to the Municipality in recognition of his hard work, dedication, and outstanding success as an Olympic athlete.

Wyatt Sanford, an Olympic boxer from Kennetcook, Nova Scotia, began boxing at age 10 and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually moving to Montreal in 2017 to join Canada’s high-performance training group. He made his Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 and went on to win a Bronze Medal in boxing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Key to the Municipality is awarded to individuals or groups who significantly contribute to the development, promotion, or goodwill of the community. Wyatt’s remarkable achievements—paired with his deep roots in his hometown—make him a truly deserving recipient of this honour.
