Notice of Approval – 2023 East Hants Official Community Plan

Take Notice that the Council of the Municipality of the District of East Hants has approved the 2023 East Hants Official Community Plan, consisting of the Municipal Planning Strategy Bylaw P-400, the Land Use Bylaw P-500, and the Subdivision Bylaw P-600.

The purpose of the East Hants Official Community Plan is to guide growth and development in East Hants and to control land use and the subdivision of land. Said documents were given second reading and approved by Municipal Council at a special meeting of Council held in the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, Elmsdale, July 27, 2023.

The effective date of the documents is the date of publication of this notice (September 20, 2023). Copies of the 2023 East Hants Official Community Plan may be inspected at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale or online here.
