Uniacke Estate Museum Park

A must see in East Hants is a visit to Uniacke Estate Museum Park – make it a full day excursion with time for tea in a one-of-a-kind heritage house and a walk down the tree-lined trails!

Named for Nova Scotia’s first highway, the road between Halifax and Windsor, the Post Road Tea Room is located in the basement of Uniacke House. Purchase memories of your Uniacke experience in the on-site gift shop including a selection of books and products from the Museum Shop.

Enjoy Walking Trails

The on-site trails let visitors explore the grounds of the property of Richard John Uniacke, a former Nova Scotia Attorney General. The art, furnishings and surroundings are period pieces with original character retained through the majority of the property.

Immerse yourself in History

Architecture, history and art enthusiasts will enjoy this rare example of an early 1800s house and landscape – much of the property remains in original condition, fully in tact. This site is also known as one of the last examples of English Landscape Garden design.

Come hear stories form the interpreters of days of East Hants past told from the perspective of the 1800s upper-class world of Nova Scotia!
