Public Information Meeting
Take notice that the Planning Advisory Committee of the Municipality of East Hants will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding these two matters:
Municipal Planning Strategy & Land Use Bylaw Amendment, Elmsdale
A proposal from VanSlyke Group Inc. to change the designation at 192/194 Highway 214, Elmsdale from the Village Core (VC) Designation to Established Residential Neighbourhood (ES) Designation and rezone the same from Village Core (VC) Zone to the Two Dwelling Unit Residential (R2) Zone. The purpose of the application is to permit the subdivision of an existing semi-detached dwelling on the property into two separate properties, which is not permitted in the Village Core (VC) Zone due to minimum lot size requirements.
Municipal Planning Strategy & Land Use Bylaw Amendments, Dog Day Cares and Boarding Kennels.
The Municipality is proposing amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to enable dog daycare uses above ten (10) dogs and boarding kennels in the Highway Commercial (HC), Business Park (BP), Industrial Commercial (IC) and Regional Commercial (RC) zones to be considered by a Development Agreement. Amendments also include enabling dog daycares including dog daycares with more than ten (10) dogs to be permitted in the Rural Use (RU) and Agricultural Reserve (AR) zones.
The public meeting will take place in Council Chambers at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale, on Tuesday February 13, 2018, beginning at 7:00 p.m. In the event of cancellation, the meeting will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2018, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
