Mapping amendment request to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law to redesignate and rezone a property located on the East Uniacke Road.

Subject Property

The subject property (PID 45157054) is located on the East Uniacke Road, Mount Uniacke.

The property is designated and zoned as Rural Use (RU). The subject property and surrounding properties are designated and zoned Rural Use (RU) and Country Residential (CR).


The purpose of this application is to amend the Generalized Future Land Use Map (GFLUM) and the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) Map to change the designation and zone from Rural Use (RU) to Country Residential (CR), which will permit single unit dwellings.

New roads are not permitted in the Rural Use Zone and the redesignation and rezoning is required in order to enable a low-density subdivision. The concept plan shown contains 65 new lots for residential subdivision.  However, this plan is a concept only and the detailed layout, including open space and lot creation will be submitted with a subdivision application.
