To amend an existing development agreement for an assisted living facility to increase the number of units from 70 to 76.
The property is located at 410 Highway 2, Enfield and is located adjacent to the Magnolia Continuing Care Facility. The property is zoned Two Dwelling Unit Residential (R2). The R2 Zone enables a development agreement to be considered for an assisted living facility.
Approval was given by Council in 2023 for a four storey, 70 unit assisted living facility. The applicant is requesting amendments to that development agreement to enable them to build an additional six units. Other amendments include: an increase in floor area to add a single storey kitchen area; an increase in parking; addition of a canopy to the front of the building; and the building is approximately 11 metres closer to the rear property boundary.
