Notice of Approval – Official Community Plan Amendment

Take Notice that the Council of the Municipality of East Hants has approved the following amendment to the Official Community Plan.
The amendment permits smaller mini-homes to be used as Accessory Dwelling Units. The changes impact residential zones that
permit single unit dwellings.
The amendment was given second reading and adopted by Municipal Council at a Public Hearing held on March 26, 2025. The effective date of the amendments is the publication date of this notice. Copies of the amendments may be inspected at: easthants.ca/community-planning/
