Take Notice that the Municipality of East Hants has received the following applications:
PLN24-013: Development Agreement, East Noel
Application from Central Tire Ltd. to enter into a development agreement for a Transportation and Warehousing use on property identified as PID 45148996, located at 5209 Highway 215, East Noel. The applicant is planning to build a 200’ x 100’ warehouse.
East Hants Official Community Plan Amendment
East Hants is considering amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw for the Village Core (VC) Zone to increase the density from a maximum of 12 dwelling units permitted as-of-right through site plan approval to a maximum of 16 dwelling units, with a ground floor commercial component included. As part of the proposal, Council will also consider increasing the gross floor area and height of a 16-unit building.
This is a preliminary notice to inform the public of consideration of these two items. Approval by Municipal Council at a Public Hearing is required before the proposals may proceed. An advertisement will be published at a later date indicating the time, date and location of the Public Hearing and any other public meetings.
