Upcoming Public Information Meeting
The Municipality will be hosting the following Public Information Meeting:
Registration will be required in order to take part in the meeting. Residents taking part in the meeting will need to have access to a digital device with speaker and microphone capabilities.

The purpose of this public information meeting is to share information regarding the proposals and to hear initial input from the public. No decisions will be made at the meeting.

|Item 1||The Municipality of East Hants has received an application from Gail Sloane & Peter MacDougall to amend the Official Community Plan. The purpose of the proposal is to change the land use designation of lands identified as PID 45278769, PID 45402567, and PID 45375433, West Indian Road from the Agricultural Reserve (AR) Designation to the Rural Use (RU) Designation and to rezone the same from the Agricultural Reserve (AR) Zone to the Rural Use (RU) Zone. This will enable the land to be used for rural uses including residential structures and rural commercial uses. A public information meeting has been scheduled to provide information to residents regarding the application and to allow residents to ask questions.|
|Item 2||The Municipality of East Hants has received an application from Maple Ridge Stables to make text amendments to the East Hants Official Community Plan that would enable horse stables, boarding and training facilities to be considered by development agreement on any lands zoned Established Residential Neighbourhood (R1) and Two Dwelling Unit Residential (R2) where Municipal services are not available. Further, the applicant has requested that East Hants consider entering into a development agreement with Maple Ridge Stables to allow for a horse boarding and training facilities on lands located at 224 Etter Road, Mount Uniacke (PID 45232378). A public information meeting has been scheduled to provide information to East Hants residents regarding the proposed amendments to the Official Community Plan that will impact all property owners of R1 and R2 zoned lands where there are no Municipal services available and to allow residents to ask questions.|
