Non-Emergency Road Issues
The majority of roads in the municipality are owned and maintained by the Province of Nova Scotia. Please refer to this list to see which roads are maintained by the Municipality of East Hants. All other roads are maintained by the Province.
If your road is municipal, please contact roads@easthants.ca to report any issues.
During winter storms, parking on public roads can obstruct and seriously delay snow removal. The Municipality reserves the right to tow vehicles in violation of this by-law. Residents should also remember to remove potential obstacles like basketball and hockey nets. See: BY-LAW NUMBER IO-100: Winter Road & Sidewalk Snow Clearing & Maintenance.
Any questions or concerns regarding maintenance for any roads not maintained by the Municipality should be directed to Nova Scotia Department of Public Works.
