Public Information Meeting – September 6, 2022

The Municipality of East Hants will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding the following two applications:

PLN22-005: East Uniacke Road, Mount Uniacke
Mapping amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to amend the designation and zone of a 22.2Ha portion of property on the East Uniacke Road. The amendments would result in the rezoning of a portion of PID 45143237 from the Rural Use (RU) Zone and Designation to the Established Residential Neighbourhood (R1) Zone and Established Residential Neighbourhood (ER) Designation. This is to allow for the development of a single unit dwelling residential subdivision.

PLN22-006: East Uniacke Road, Mount Uniacke
Mapping amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to amend the designation and zone of a 42.2Ha property located on the East Uniacke Road. The amendments would result in the rezoning of the property (PID 45157054) from Rural Use (RU) zone and designation to the Country Residential (CR) zone and designation, to allow for the development of a single unit dwelling residential subdivision.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Mount Uniacke Legion, 18 Veterans Lane, Mount Uniacke, B0N 1Z0. The purpose of the meeting is to outline the proposals and respond to residents’ questions and comments regarding the proposals. A final decision to approve or refuse the applications will take place following a Public Hearing to be scheduled at a later date.
