Notice of Public Information Meeting – March 7, 2023

The Municipality of East Hants will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding the following two applications:

PLN20-001: Highway 2, Elmsdale

Application by Elmsdale Lumber Company Ltd. to amend an existing development agreement to allow for a containerized biochar production facility on their lumber mill site at 604 Highway 2, Elmsdale. The application has been amended from the initial application submitted in 2020 and no longer proposes the original biochar facility. The applicant is still requesting an amendment to the designation and zoning for property identified as PID 45342938. This was included in the original 2020 application.

PLN22-009: Renfrew Road, Enfield

Application by M&M Developments Ltd. to redesignate and rezone a property from Rural Use (RU) to Country Residential (CR) to enable single unit residential lots. The rezoning and redesignation will also include a portion of the un-maintained section of Renfrew Road adjacent to the application property.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale. In the event of cancellation the meeting will be held on Wednesday March 8 at 7 p.m. Any updates to the location or format of the meeting will be communicated through easthants.ca or the municipal Facebook page.
