Notice of Application & Public Information Meeting, Upper Nine Mile River

TAKE NOTICE that the Planning and Development Department for the Municipality of East Hants has received the following application:

 

Official Community Plan Amendments and Development Agreement – A proposal from Mitch Frail to amend the Official Community Plan to enable multiple unit residential development in the Rural Use (RU) Zone to be considered by Development Agreement and for Council to consider entering into a Development Agreement to enable a multiple unit residential development on his property located at 4769 Highway 14, Upper Nine Mile river.

This is a preliminary notice intended to inform the public of consideration of the proposal and also to provide details of a Public Information Meeting. The public meeting will take place in Council Chambers at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, beginning at 7:00pm. The purpose of this public meeting is to allow the applicant to outline their proposal and to respond to residents’ questions and comments regarding the proposal.

Approval by municipal Council at a public hearing is required before the proposal may proceed. An advertisement will be published at a later date indicating the time, data, and location of the hearing.
