Initial Notice – Proposed East Hants Land Use Bylaw Amendments

TAKE NOTICE that the Planning and Development Department for the Municipality of East Hants are proposing amendments to the East Hants Land Use Bylaw. The purpose of the proposed amendments is to permit tiny homes on wheels, which are CSA approved for four-season living or that have been certified by a Professional Engineer, to be used as a dwelling unit or an accessory dwelling unit in the Rural Use (RU) Zone and the Agricultural Reserve (AR) Zone.

This is a preliminary notice intended to inform the public of consideration of the proposed amendments. Approval by Municipal Council at a public hearing is required before the amendments may proceed. An advertisement will be published at a later date indicating the time, date, and location of the public hearing and any other public meetings.
