District 5, Divisions 1-4

POLLING DIVISION DESCRIPTION – Maitland – MacPhees Corner

Electoral Division Map

Division 5-1:  Division 5-1 primarily runs north along Highway 215 from Rhines Creek towards South Maitland.  Starting at 14048 Highway 215 Rhines Creek and ending at 10984 Highway 215 Urbania.  Roads to enumerate include: Mosher Rd, Hickory Ln, Blake Rd, Eagle Point Rd, Shore Old Diversion Rd, Emerald Forest Rd, Turple Rd, New Dublin Rd, Maloney Rd, Rose Meadow Rd, Rose Point Rd, and Oxbow Rd.

Division 5-2:  Division 5-2 continues to run north along Highway 215 from South Maitland to Noel Shore and is bordered by the Shubenacadie River.  Consisting of 5 communities in District 5 it begins at civic 10902 Highway 215 to 5760 Highway 215.  Roads include: Station Rd, Old Rd, Putnam Rd, Robinson Rd, Academy St, Ferry Ln, Church Hill, Maple St, Smith Rd, and Selma Rd.  Partial roads include: Highway 215, Cedar Rd (civic 1193), and Highway 236 (civic 9865 – 601).

Division 5-3:  Division 5-3 covers a large portion of district 5.  Running from 1306 Georgefield Rd, Georgefield (Waste Management Centre) and continuing north to the Highway 236, and further north along Northfield Rd until civic 1761.  Roads include: Glenco Rd, Allison Rd, Mill Rd, Lawrence Rd, Dalrymple Rd, Hamilton Ln, Turple Rd, Hennigar Rd, King Rd, William McCulloch Rd, Cross Rd, Miller Rd, Percy Hennigar Rd, Ranch Rd, Asa Laffin Rd, Findley Rd, and Northfield Rd.  Partial roads include:  Findley Rd (civic 579), Highway 236 (civic 4929 – 7881), Highway 236 (civic 562), and Georgefield Rd.

Division 5-4:  Division 5-4 is composed of the main highways in the district 5 and partially bordered by the Sipenkne’katik Reserve.  Full enumeration roads include:  Old Indian Rd, Anderson Rd, Maplewood Crt, and Angevine Rd.  Partial roads include: Indian Rd (civic 830-2686), Salem Cross Rd (civic 724), Georgefield Rd (civic 14-1306), and Barr Settlement Rd (civic 939).

 


VOTING INFORMATION

Voting in the October Municipal election will be by telephone, internet and paper ballots. By the end of September, registered voters will receive a Voter Information Letter by mail with detailed information on how to vote.

Telephone and internet voting will begin at 8:00 am on Friday, October 9, and continue through to 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 17.

Paper ballots can be cast in-person only on Election Day, October 17, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
