- (65) Resignation letter from Mr. Ralph Quade, who is no longer able to serve on the Police Advisory Committee. Staff will begin the process seeking public interest for a new member.
- (58) Letter to NSTAT regarding increased challenges of accessing Highway 214 when coming off the south bound Highway 102 ramp at exit 8 (Council Motion C21(175))
- (56) Letter of Support – access to lands next to the Shubenacadie River in support of healing activities with a view of the former Shubenacadie Residential School site.
- (55) Letter of Support – East Hants Historical Society – in support of a federal funding application for an accessible washroom and access to the Lower Selma Museum.
- (54) The Province, through African Nova Scotian Affairs (ANSA), is asking that each municipality consider organizing a commemorative event in recognition of “Emancipation Day” on August 1st and “International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition” on August 23rd.
- (45) Letter from Jordan M. Mahar Subject: Comments on Updating the East Hants Official Community Plan
- (43) Letter from Nova Scotia Department of Municipal Affairs Re: Amendments to the MPS and LUB for redesignation and rezoning of three properties on Barr Settlement Road. Matter referred to the Minister of Municipal Affairs as there are concerns regarding policies being inconsistent with the Statement of Provincial Interest regarding Agricultural Land. If no decision is made by the Minister within 60 days, the documents are deemed to be approved.
- (39) Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Climate Change – public consultation process regarding regulations for the Coastal Protection Act. The consultation period is open until September 17, 2021. Regional Session to be held on August 19th.
- (19) Certificate of Appreciation – Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
- (17) Invitation for the area Councillor or Warden to attend the Paleo-Mavericks TV Shoot “Waltzing into Walton” featuring the discovery of the earliest deep-bodied fish on earth.

- (66) Copy of a letter from the Lantz Volunteer Fire Department to the Minister of Transportation and Active Transportation seeking assistance to rectify a safety issue with a drainage catchment located in front of the fire station in Lantz. It has been suggested that a letter of support from the municipality be sent as well.
- (64) The municipality has been asked to provide comments on the development of regulations for the Coastal Protection Act. A draft response is attached for Council’s consideration.
- (10) In January 2021, Council declined the request [Motion C21(7)] from the East Hants Curling Association to meet with area Councillors due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and agreed to reconsider the request at the July 2021 Council meeting.
