DESCRIPTION:The annual compost giveaway event is open to all residents within East Hants boundaries. We’ll provide the bags\, you bring your shovel! \nResidents can visit the Waste Management Centre for compost throughout the week or on Saturdays from May 7 – May 21. Time’s vary depending on the days. \nWeekdays: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.\nSaturdays: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. \n\nLimit of 4 bags per household of self-shoveled Grade A compost.*\nYou can pick up compost for one (1) other household. If you are picking up for another household\, the limit is 8 bags of compost per visit\nBags can hold approximately 25kg each. Bags and compost provided\nYou must fill your own bags and place them in your vehicle\n\nWhat is Grade A compost? \n\nThere are two (2) grades of compost: Unrestricted (Grade A) and Restricted (Grade B)\nGrade A compost can be used in any application from agricultural lands\, residential gardens\, horticultural operations\, etc.\nGrade B compost is a restricted use product due to higher trace element content and presence of foreign matter\nTest results are available on request
