In 1995, Maitland became Nova Scotia’s first Heritage Conservation District. In October 2018, after a detailed review, Council approved updates to the Heritage Conservation District Plan and Bylaw.
These bylaws are reviewed regularly to make sure they reflect current legislation and meet the community’s needs. It has been more than seven years since the last update, and the Municipality is now reviewing the district’s policies, regulations, and design guidelines again.
We are asking the Maitland community for feedback on the Proposed Bylaw Amendments.
