HHW Events and Paint Swaps are held in various locations across the Municipality during late May and June annually. These half day events give residents the opportunity to safely dispose of materials that would harm the environment, the resident or the waste collection staff if put in regular garbage. These materials may include:
propane |
antifreeze |
oil |
pesticides |
paint |
solvents |
glue |
batteries |
cosmetics/medication |
detergents |
caustics |
acid |
Often, HHW materials will be marked with one or more of the following symbols.
Corrosive |
Toxic |
Reactive |
Flammable |
|
|
|
|
We are unable to accept infectious, radioactive or unknown materials. Dry, empty paint cans go in the regular garbage.
There will be a FREE PAINT table set up for any good quality paint that is brought in for disposal. Please stop in to see if there is anything you can use.
