A maximum of 5 black or green standard size bags (about 1 meter long when empty) of garbage may be placed curbside by 7:00 am for collection. Garbage in red, yellow or orange bags will not be collected. Bagged garbage will be collected from inside a garbage bin. Businesses have a limit of 10 bags of garbage per collection period.
Garbage material includes styrofoam, diapers, disposable coffee cups, empty paint cans, motoro oil containers, empty aerosol cans, clothing and footwear, plastic cutlery, microwave popcorn bags, chip bags, cereal or cracker box liners, pet feces and litter, vacuum cleaner bags and floor sweepings, waxed cardboard, and plastic with no recycling number.
Broken glass, ceramics and light bulbs should be wrapped in newspaper or placed in an open top box so the waste collection staff can identify the material before handling.
On your regular garbage day you may also place as many as three (3) large items curbside for collection. This can include matresses, sofas, chairs, furniture, kiddie swimming pools, etc. Please do not place metal objects for collection on garbage collection day.
