Electronics Recycling
Beginning
February 1st, 2009, the second phase of the electronics recyclaing
program will come into effect. The following is a detailed list
of electronic items now banned from landfills in Nova Scotia:
- televisions
- computers
- desktop, laptop, and notebooks (incl. accessories
like keyboard, mouse, cables)
- printers - desktop, portable, label/barcode/card printers
- desktop fax machines
- camera dock printers
- monitors - standalone, video display, professional displays,
closed circuit
- portable
stereos - tape players, cd players
- radios,
audio recorders, headphones, MP3 players, voice recorders
- digital
camers and video camcorders
- car stereo
amplifiers and equalizers, speakers and in-dash CD players
- Home Theatre
In A Box (HTB) systems
- VCRs &
DVD players
- clock radios
- digital
cable & satellite cable equipment
- speakers,
amplifiers, receivers, data projectors, and similar audio/video
systems
- non-cellular
telephones including wire phones, cordless telephones and telephone
answering machines.
