Tourism Development
East Hants has been blessed with many natural tourism assets. The history and natural beauty of our municipality is a source of interest and attraction for residents and visitors alike.
As part of our Tourism Development Strategy, the municipality will assist organizations with tourism related projects designed to protect and enhance community identity, values and the tourism product. Not-for-profit organizations may apply for funding each year to assist with tourism development and promotion. Funding provided by the municipality for these projects will strengthen our brand image, help showcase the area to our residents and to the world, and will encourage increased attendance at attractions and events. This, in turn, will boost local and regional economies.

In addition to preparing the Tourism Development Strategy, the municipality has been involved in a number of initiatives which support tourism in East Hants. These include hosting various events, hosting an annual Tourism Symposium for tourism operators, artisans and volunteers, and participating in trade shows to promote our area.
