Public Works
Public Works is responsible for the maintenance, installation and repair of all underground infrastructure for water and wastewater. This includes all mainlines, wastewater lift stations, water storage tanks, and water meters.
Public Works operates two water utilities and three wastewater collection and treatment systems for communities in the serviced areas adjacent to Highway 102 and along the Shubenacadie River. These communities include nearly 2,500 water service connections in Enfield, Elmsdale, Lantz and Shubenacadie.
