Volunteer Recognition Awards - 2012 Deadline February 24
Volunteers are the heart of the East Hants community.
Each year the Department of Recreation and Culture hosts the Municipal Volunteer Recognition Awards as a way to honour the contributions that volunteers make in our community. Not for profit organizations in the Municipality are eligible to nominate one volunteer for recognition of the time and effort that that volunteer gives to their community. There are several different categories in which volunteers can be nominated; however regardless of the category they will all be recognized at our event.
Categories for nomination are:
- Shining Star Award
- Corporate Volunteer of the Year
- Volunteer Family of the Year
- Youth Volunteer of the Year
- Fire Fighter/Search & Rescue/Medical First Responder Volunteer of the Year
For details on the award categories and qualifying criteria, download our information sheet.
Do you know a deserving person who you would like to nominate? Fill out a Volunteer Recognition Awards Nomination Form.
If you have any questions regarding the application or the awards ceremony please feel free to contact us at 902-758-2715 or recreation@easthants.ca
